Joliet Jewish Congregation

A big THANK YOU to all of our JJC members who attended the Jeff ‘n Janis Cabaret April 7. Your support helped make this event a success. With over 40 attendees, the majority were from our Joliet JJC Community. Jeff and Janis’ beautiful voices energized us with a heart-warming program that combined Hebrew, English, and nostalgic songs from Allen Sherman’s “Harvey & Sheila” parody of Hava Nagilla, “Fidler on the Roof” medley, Carol King, Peter Yarrow, Leonard Cohen and many other songs from our Jewish heritage into a fast-moving hour of music enjoyment. Afterwards, there was a yummy “nosh” reception in the Social Hall with lots of chocolate goodies. We’re appreciative to JUF for the grant which funded this event.
